Because of the layout of the house I have had to situate the bathroom in the attic. Unfortunately this means that the area is rather over large as well as lacking much privacy! However, as many terraced properties of this period did not have the luxury of a bathroom, or for that matter, an inside toilet the owners of this house are very fortunate!

The bathroom suite is made from a plastic kit which I feel works quite well as the toilet has a suitable overhead cistern and the bath has its ornate feet on display. Although the fifties saw much interest in home improvements I feel that the family who own this property have not yet got around to altering their rather old-fashioned plumbing arrangements. However, the transfers on the wall in the bath area gives a nice feeling of fifties kitsch!

I hope that the additions of a large towel rail, a linen cupboard, stool and a screen to give some privacy have filled this rather large room.
