Edwardian House (1930s) Hall and Landing
After all the stairs in Jubilee Terrace I was surprised to find myself tackling the Hall and Landing at such an early stage on my new house. I think that finding some lincrusta at a local Dolls House Fair fired my imagination and helped me to envisage a hallway in the 1930's.

The overall effect is darkness and a degree of gloom with a "Grandmother" clock standing at the end of the passage. I deliberately did not go for the larger "Grandfather" type clock as I felt that it would look too big in this comparatively small hall way.

The landing has a well stocked bookcase and someone has left the vacuum cleaner up there as well! A small table has some clean towels and bedding on it. Perhaps there are plans for a trip away as a battered, well travelled suitcase stands outside the bedroom door?
